How to judge the quality of color coated steel?

1. Observe the thickness of color coated steel base material and film.

Color coated steel is composed of base material and colorful film or cladding material. The first thing to consider is the thickness of base material and film. The thickness of base material can significantly impact the service time of
color coated steel. If the manufacturer reduce the production cost of color coated steel coil by changing the base material and film, that is, reducing the thickness of base material and adding the thickness of film, the service time of
color coated steel can be greatly decreased.

2. Listen to sounds.

Use finger or hard objects to knock on color coated steel. Dull or not obvious metal sound stands for poor texture. Pretty loud and silvery metal sound means good texture.

3. Observe the external exposure edge of color coated steel.

Firstly observe if the exposed of color coated steel such as fracture surface sees dense crystal,looks gray and dark or have impurity. If crystal in fracture surface is dense, it means the color coated steel quality is good.

4.Check the qualification certificate of color coated steel.

Firstly check if there are inspection standards of related departments. If so, related personnel shall try to visit manufacturer to see whether the enterprise environment is standard.
